I sculpt a lot of naked people. A lot of naked people that I have nowhere to put, and wind up being fairly heavy. This is what happens to most of them.

Man, I wish you could roll up or stack sculptures like drawings.

Clay with a ridiculous armature.

This has to be pretty unique for I have seen many time lapse sculptures being made but never one that is being dismantled in chunk slices like this!
Awesome!

Aww, that's sad :( I remember this one mom who told me that her daughter's canvas paintings are causing her problems because she doesn't know where to store them.

It is sad but it's a really good lesson in a lot of ways though - learning to be less sentimental about your work is really key to improving (also to working in a professional context). So many times if you make a mistake at the basic level you really need to throw the whole thing out and start over anyway, right? It's better to start over and do it right then to polish something out that's built on an improper foundation. You have to learn to kill your babies if you want to keep growing.

Even without that, if you keep making stuff eventually you're going to run out of space, especially if you sculpt (you run out of space reaaaal quick with sculptures, can't take them off their stretchers and roll them up, stack them, or anything)

My heart ached when you said, "kill your babies"! Anyway, everything you said is absolutely true. You really can't keep everything you make. I myself often reuse the back side of my papers. I feel for you, about how you can't keep all your sculptures. Even paper gets quite heavy when they pile up over time and sometimes it makes me think whether it's still reasonable to keep them all. Though sometimes it's just so hard to throw away stuff.

Aww thanks! I wouldn't mind at all but I'm pretty sure it's in the rules somewhere that you can't two in under three months and oddly enough I just got one on this fellow here [link]

Do you reuse your clay? Because I know some artists throw it out after they make something with it :cries:

Good! That makes me happy. I love just playing with clay so I'd never be able to throw it out :XD:
